WRDS

Available Data via the Wharton Research Data Services

WRDS provides access to several of the most common data subscriptions.  There are three ways to access the WRDS system.

• WEB
• UNIX logins
• SAS connect.

The URL is: wrds.wharton.upenn.edu
All faculty and PhD students are entitled to a WRDS account.  Research assistants who are working with faculty may apply for an account with faculty sponsorship.
Class accounts are provided for those faculty who wish to use the data available via WRDS for teaching.

Please note that tenured and tenure track faculty should register for “Faculty” account types.  All other faculty should register for “Visitor” account types.  Visitor accounts must be renewed on an annual basis but there is no difference in the level of access.
