Welcome!

I have taught courses ranging from mergers & acquisitions to organizational behavior to audiences ranging from executives to undergraduates. However, currently, my focus is in teaching strategic management (Bus 634) and Industry & Competitor Analysis (430). the following are materials relevant for the strategy course.

Basic Resources for Class

  • Syllabus for Industry & Competitor Analysis (BUS 430).
  • Readings on eReserve in the Library. There are detailed instructions in the syllabus above. However, briefly to gain access to eReserve readings:
    1. Direct your browser to the Library,
    2. Click <Reserve Desk>,
    3. Search for "Coff" under instructors,
    4. Display readings for the strategic management course.
    5. Print/view the readings as needed.

  • Cases are available online from Study.net. This is an online packet provider that offers Harvard cases cheaply and efficiently (as far as I can tell). Again, the syllabus has detailed instructions but the following is a brief overview:
    1. Direct your browser to Study.net,
    2. Register as a student (button on left),
    3. Press the <new courses> button (left) to add a course,
    4. Select "Emory" from the list and press the <list courses> button,
    5. Find the Undergraduate Industry & Competitor Analysis course (430) and follow the instructions to enroll. On completion, you will have access to all of the course materials.

Other Courses

  • Undergraduate Strategic Management Syllabus (BUS 431)
  • Courses offered in the past include: Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Strategy & Organizational Change, and Organizational Behavior. Materials for these are available on request.
