THE CONFERENCE
The INFORMS Marketing Science Conference is an annual conference
that brings together the leading research scholars in marketing,
and a small number of individuals from industry and government.
The conference falls under the auspices of the INFORMS Society
for Marketing Science (ISMS) sub-branch whose major purpose
is to foster the development, dissemination, and implementation
of knowledge, basic and applied research, and science and technologies
that improve the understanding and practice of marketing. At
the upper echelon of scholar-focused conferences in business,
it is a forum where leading scholars in marketing present the
results of their latest research.
The Marketing faculty of the Goizueta Business School, Emory
University will host the 2005 INFORMS Marketing Science Conference
at its campus in Atlanta, GA.
The conference runs as follows:

ABSTRACTS
(due February 1, 2005; you also need to register by March 15)
Papers in various areas of marketing science, including marketing
models, methods, theory and measurement are welcome. Individuals
from academia, industry, and government are strongly encouraged
to submit abstracts. Abstracts should not exceed 250 words,
and should clearly define a marketing topic and the contribution
of the work.
Submit Your Abstract Online
https://informs.emeetingsonline.com/emeetings/ctbpaperlogin.asp?mmnno=139
An author may be the first author (primary presenter) for at
most one paper during the entire conference. A paper
(of which the abstract was accepted) will NOT be scheduled in
the program if the first author of that paper has not registered
for the conference by March 15, 2005. This policy helps
to limit the number of cancelled papers and no-shows.
Regular Submissions
This is by far the most common type of submission. See guidelines
above.
Practice Prize Submissions
You may nominate your abstract for the Practice Prize. Practice
Prize papers are presented Friday morning and the awards announced
at the Awards Banquet on Friday evening. Details on how to submit
your abstract to this competition are available on the Practice
Prize page of the conference website.
Special Sessions
Special sessions are strongly encouraged. Include a proposed
title, a session chair(s), abstracts for 4 or 5 papers and a
statement summarizing the session's theme.
We hope to see you all in Atlanta in June, 2005 for an exciting
conference!
