The award was established by the Council of the Association for Information Systems (the global professional association of the Information Systems faculty). The purpose of the award is to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Information Systems discipline n terms of research, teaching and service. AIS Fellows are elected by a committee of peers and are expected to be a role model and an inspiration to colleagues and students within the discipline. AIS Fellows should be esteemed for their high levels of professional and personal integrity.
