Jim Irwin
President

The President chairs all meetings of the Executive Council and GBA. He or she is the official representative and spokesperson of the GBA. The President calls all meetings of the Executive Council and nominates all committee members subject to approval of the Executive Council. The President also calls for and presides over all meetings of the Council of MBA Leaders, the body consisting of the Presidents of all recognized professional clubs.


Lynn Popiel
Executive Vice President


The Executive Vice President assumes the office of the President if the President becomes unable to serve because of absence or illness. The Executive Vice President is in charge of managing the GBA relationship with the Career Management Center. The Executive Vice President leads designated special projects initiated by the Executive Council. The Executive Vice President serves as the liaison between any standing committess and the Executive Council.


Robert Buchek
Chief Financial Officer


The Chief Financial Officer has the sole power to accept and disperse funds, as directed by the Executive Council. The Chief Financial Officer maintains accurate financial records, processes expenses in a timely manner and reports the financial status of the GBA at all GBA meetings.


Todd Addison
Vice President of Communications

The Vice President of Communications is responsible for coordinating matters related to communications. This responsibility may include any of the following as needed:  coordinating calendar and room requests; attending meetings of the Plan/Ops committee; speaking at or creating documents for school events; coordinating club conferences and providing related training; working on issues related to student use of FirstClass; maintaining a current MBA leadership list; and providing any additional correspondence or assistance needed by the Executive Council.


Andy Simpson
Vice President of Student Activities

The Vice President of Student Activities is responsible for overseeing the social activities for the graduate business students. Social activities include seasonal functions (Halloween Party and Spring Formal), faculty-student mixers (Coffeehouse), cultural events (International Potluck), and Goizueta traditions (Courtyard kegs, Goizueta Games). The Vice President of Student Activities works with a committee of fellow students to organize events and activities that help make the program memorable and fun.  The Vice President of Student Activities also works to involve companies and local businesses in student events.


Kevin Quandt
Vice President of University Relations

The Vice President of University Relations shall represent all interests of the GBA to the SGA and shall report all pertinent SGA activity to the Executive Council. This Officer also will act as a liaison to the BBAs enrolled at the Goizueta Business School. The Vice President of University Relations will officially be responsible for coordinating with the representatives of the other graduate divisions to organize social events to promote interaction between the graduate divisions of Emory University as deemed appropriate by the Executive Council.


Elisabeth Irwin
Vice President of Alumni Relations

The Vice President of Alumni Relations represents the interests of current students who will be future alumni from the Goizueta Business School. This position works with the Office of Alumni Relations and the Development Office to create programs which bring together current MBA students with alumni for networking and social events. The Vice President of Alumni Relations holds a seat on the Goizueta Alumni Association Board and attends quarterly meetings to provide updates from the student body and receive feedback from the alumni. The Officer also supports special projects of the GBA Executive Council such as the graduating Class Gift and Reunion activities.

Kerry-Ann Francis
Vice President Multicultural Affairs

 

This is the inaugural year for the position of Vice President of Multicultural Affairs. The VPMCA is an active voice on the GBA for cultural organizations and underrepresented students in the Goizueta community.  The VPMCA will act as a liaison for these organizations with the GBA and with the Goizueta community. The VPMCA will work closely with the Director of Diversity & Community Initiatives to promote diversity and community initiatives and programs.

 


Michael Gavin
One Year Student Vice President

 

The Vice President of the One-Year class represents the interests of the students in the One-Year program at Goizueta Business School. This position works within the GBA Executive Council to coordinate communication with the One-Year class in the areas of academics, finances, career management, student activities, alumni relations, and multi-cultural affairs. The Vice President of the One-Year class also provides student leadership to One-Year elected class representatives in the areas of academics, career management, and multi-cultural affairs.


 

Courtney Robinson
One Year Student Vice President

 

The Vice President of the One-Year class represents the interests of the students in the One-Year program at Goizueta Business School. This position works within the GBA Executive Council to coordinate communication with the One-Year class in the areas of academics, finances, career management, student activities, alumni relations, and multi-cultural affairs. The Vice President of the One-Year class also provides student leadership to One-Year elected class representatives in the areas of academics, career management, and multi-cultural affairs.
