What is required of to go on this trip?
Because this is part of your G-plus course credit, there is an academic
component. Students will be required to attend all scheduled meetings.
In addition, training seminars will be held during the Fall Semester
to prepare students for the trip. These seminars include:
1. An overview of the different parts of a typical investment bank
and how the various departments work with one another.
2. An overview of each of the participating firms, and preparation
for the Q&A section of each bank visit.
3. Logistics of the trip.
Travel plans for the Wall Street Trek?
Most students arrange their own travel plans to defer the costs,
including flights and lodging. Most students stayed in the midtown
area of Manhattan.
Can you arrange informational interviews on your own?
Many students participated in informational interviews beyond the
formal structure of the Trek schedule. It is highly encouraged to
meet with your contacts, so long as you do not miss the scheduled
events. Talking over coffee or meeting someone for dinner is a great
way to get to know people.
