Students entering the Business School are familiar with the Admissions pre-matriculation SharePoint site and the Information Services student orientation web portal.
Student club sites, academic area sites and administrative department sites are located on the SharePoint portal. SharePoint can also be used for faculty collaboration, student team sites and "my site," which is much like My Yahoo.
To see what is currently on the SharePoint server go to https://community.bus.emory.edu.
Information Services offers account set-up, template set-up, and training to help you get started with your SharePoint application. Contact Support Desk to request assistance.
Intranet pages are typically used for special applications, such as programs and systems, which either cannot be placed on the SharePoint server or are not well-suited for the internal SharePoint portal. Intranet sites consist mainly of sites that are relatively static and of sites requiring branding or continuity of look and feel without the external website. Examples are: special events, password-protected sites, sites marketing/targeting external communities, data intake forms and applications. To access the Intranet website, go to http://www.bus.emory.edu.
Goizueta's Internet website is our primary marketing site for recruiting and development. The look and feel of the Internet is directed by the Goizueta Office of External Affairs. If you need advice on placing content on the Internet, please contact External Affairs. All requests for content updates require you fill out the Internet Development Request Form. This request is automatically sent to a member of External Affairs for approval. The request is then sent to Information Services, and in most cases, development is done by a member of Information Services. Some requests may require outside development or funding due to workload, time constraints or magnitude of the request.
