Podcasting

A Podcast is programming you can download and listen or watch with your computer, directly from a website, or on a device like an iPod. You can subscribe to a podcast, and have it downloaded to your computer automatically each time a new episode is released.

How Do I Make a Podcast?

Faculty can create audio and video content that their students can download outside of class and listen/watch when they want, enriching course content and moving beyond the physical classroom.

There are three distinct steps to making a podcast:

  1. Creating the file for download (in either .pdf, .mp3 or .mp4 formats)
  2. Copying the file to a web server or other appropriate storage area (first class conference or sharepoint)
  3. Making the file available to viewers
