Molly Epstein is Assistant Professor in the Practice of Management Communication at Emory University's Goizueta Business School. Additionally, she serves as Team Leader/Area Coordinator for the Management Communication Department. Epstein teaches professional and corporate communication skills and strategies to PhD, MBA and BBA students. She currently co-leads Management Communication training in the Goizueta PLUS program for MBA students. In 2003, The Emory University Teaching Fund awarded Epstein a grant to create and teach a Ph.D. seminar titled Persuasive Academic Presentations: Presenting and Defending Theories and Dissertations. In addition, she serves on the Steering Committee for the Master Teaching Program of the Emory University Advisory Council on Teaching. Epstein joined the Goizueta Business School faculty in 1998 after teaching for seven years at Georgia State University's College of Business Administration.
Epstein's combination of degrees in language and business provide a valuable perspective of management communication. Epstein holds a BA and MSA from Northwestern University and an MA and Ph.D. from Georgia State University. She is an active member of the Association of Business Communication and Management Communication Association. In 2004, Epstein completed the Master Teacher program, which prepares her to most effectively share her expertise with students.
Epstein acts as a communications consultant, specializing in marketing strategy, image creation, speech writing, and effective writing and presenting skills. Her corporate clients include Amgen, The Home Depot, Georgia Power, The Coca-Cola Company, Fleet Capital Corporation, Radiant Systems, Turner Broadcast Systems, and UPS. Epstein's seminars include Effective Professional Writing, Increasing Your Writing Effectiveness and Perfecting Your Presentations. She occasionally appears on CNN as an expert commentator on issues of management and corporate communication, and she is widely quoted in national news publications.
Epstein lives in Atlanta with her husband Jonathan and their three children. As Fundraising Chair for the Underwood Hills Park Renovation program, Epstein leads fundraising and renovation efforts for an inner-city neighborhood park.
